Synopsis Hirit Rangsiman, the pearl farm's owner in the south of Thailand, is very angry and vengeful after Harin, his only younger brother commit suicide because Sansanee, Harin girlfriend, breaks up with him. Harit wants to take vengeance on a girl who cause his brother's death, so he kidnaps her to torture, but he doesn't know that a girl who he kidnaps is Soraya, Sansanee's cousin. He still believe that Soraya is Sansanee no matter how Soraya tries to tell him.
Soraya wants to repay her debt of gratitude to Sansanee because Sansanee used to save her life from drowning, so she accept this punishment instead of her beloved cousin. However, they irresistibly fall in love with each other at last. Nathlada - 'Cherry' Lizzy Lerlaksami - 'Aom' Pruk - 'Ace' Amitada - 'Jaja' Amaj - 'Gaw' Synopsis Three years after a car accident left him blind, the millionaire Chisanu Naresuan moves to the countryside to relax. There, he meets Nathlada, a young teacher, when he bumps into her and nearly knocks her off a bridge. She is grateful to him for saving her life (she was going to kill herself, but he pulled her up and inadvertently talked her out of it) and a friendship formed.
However, Nathlada, or 'Lada' as she preferred to be called, believed 'Chit' to be a poor blind fisherman. Her ex-boyfriend, who was married to another woman but lied to Nathlada that he was unwed, stalks her to the countryside. Chisanu gets a phone call that the doctors have found a cornea that might fit him, so he must go to France for surgery. He tricks Nathlada into marrying him and they both go to his main estate in Thailand, and then to France. Chisanu's ex-girlfriend (who is now married) and his lawyer's daughter both do their best to break him and Nathlada apart, and P'Thep (Lada's ex-boyfriend) continuously stalks Nathlada.
There is a lot of misunderstanding and poor communication, and trouble abounds.
This lakorn has stolen my heart. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a historic lakorn and more. Kadesurang is a 20-year old archeologist who gets in a car accident alongside her friend/classmate/love interest Ruengrit.
Following the accident, Kade wakes up in 17th century Ayutthaya. That’s shock number one. Shock number two is Kade waking up in somebody’s else body: Karakade. Shock number three is that Kade is Karakade’s doppleganger. If this was not traumatic enough, Kade realizes everybody else hates Karakade. Karakade was now angel. Far from that.
Karakade was mean-spirited and self-centered, which is what ultimately caused her death. In an attempt to kill a rival, Karakade causes an accident but ends up kiling an innocent servant instead. Pretty much everyone suspects Karakade from the get go, including her betrothed Por Date and her future in-laws. To find the culprit, Por Date and his father perform a ritual, the moon mantra, which ends up killing the real Karakade. Imagine everyone’s surprise when the fake Karakade, 20th century Kade, seems literally unbothered by the moon mantra. This drama is angsty from beginning to end, which is totally the type of lakorn that I like. Before I go into more details about this show, I need to declare loud and clear that I love Janie as a nang’rai.
Her acting in this lakorn was absolutely flawless and I am not sure that I want to see her play a nang’ek anymore. The storyline is fairly simple: Two friends and one man. Pim and Jai Rerng are childhood friends who’ve shared laughs and tears throughout the years. Pim is the kind hearted, pious and sweet one while Jai Rerng is strong willed and a go-getter. Nothing wrong with Jai Rerng’s character until you start looking at some of her flaws Jealousy and greed. From secretly breaking a trophy won by Pim and stealing the limelight from her friend, it’s clear since the first episode that Jai Rerng is trouble.
All this unbeknown to Pim (Yes, she’s that kind of naive female lead). Jai Rerng’s jealousy might seem trivial at first but that’s until Rerk enters the picture.
Rerk moves next to Pim and the two quickly become friends. Pim quickly falls for him, but our girl Jai Rerng is faster and bewitches him. I am not lightly using the term “bewitch” but Rerk seemed almost obsessed with Jai Rerng. Rerk one-sidedly always put her first. Unsurprisingly their relationship doesn’t last long. Jai Rerng quickly dumps Rerk to get married with someone else – Terd, a successful businessman. Rerk when he discovers that Pim and Terd are getting married.
Rerk who is heartbroken gets comforted by the only person who has always been there for him. Pim of course. The friendship grows and evolves into a romantic relationship at which point Rerk proposes to Pim. The lakorn could end here but no. That wouldn’t be fun. When Jai Rerng’s marriage hits rock bottom, she turns to Pim for comfort and sets to wreak havoc in her friend’s marriage. Rerng moves in with the married couple supposedly because she has no where else to go.
Let me pause here. This is just wild. Why would anyone let someone like Jai Rerng move into his or her house?! Despite several warnings from her family and her own husband, Pim goes ahead and take Jai Rerng in. What a dummy Pim is. Wat is a prominent professional with almost everything: A great career as a doctor, the looks, and even the money if it wasn’t for his mother’s debts.
Well at least, his mother countless money issues serve a clear purpose plot-wise.It is the debts that lead to Wat’s relationship with the female lead Nuth. Can’t really complain about that can we?
The families of Wat and Nuth arrange for the two to get married in order to solve two issues. First, Wat will have two years to slowly repay the debt. Second, Nuth will be able to protect her reputation. Well, you see the thing is that Nuth’s uncle, Chayakorn, is in love with her.
Are you weirded out? Don’t worry, I was too. Because Chayakorn is not sure he is related by blood to Nuth and that he was adopted, he relentlessly pursues Nuth. Posted in Tagged,. Annoying is the best way to qualify this drama. I love the cast as I have seen some of the shows they played in before but this show totally sucked. I am still not sure what was the purpose of the show was: Letting us know that cheating is alright if the person claims to love you?
Telling us that it’s alright for men (only) to cheat? Although lakorns do perpetuate some misogynistic ideas, I was shocked to see this in U-Prince: Handsome Cowboy. I expected a light-hearted romantic comedy. That’s not what I got If you ask me how I managed to get through all the episodes, I wouldn’t be able to tell you for sure.
Maybe I was hoping to see the show end differently ( second male lead syndrome) or I wanted to see how far the director would take the nonsense The show is about Sibtis, a university senior and handsome player of the faculty of agriculture, who crosses path with Prikkang, a DJ and junior at the same university. The lead couple’s first encounter is fresh in Sibtis mind. The only thing is that their college encounter is actually not their first. Sibtis just doesn’t remember Prikkang. They used to be childhood friends until Sibtis went to study abroad for a few years.
At first, Prikkang is sad and hurt that Sibtis doesn’t remember her. Sometimes, I wish he would have not remembered her at all. It would have probably been better for Prikkang. That’s why they say be careful what you wish for!!!
Posted in Tagged. It’s been a slow drama start for 2016. I didn’t have high expectations for any shows. Well that was until Morrasoom Sawad! So in love with the Weir-Preaw pairing. Plot Kwang is the daughter of a wealthy aristocrat.
Her family tries to keep it together but truly everything is falling apart. Her father had several wives/mistresses resulting in five kids, including Kwan and her sister Wor who share the same mother. There is also Nop – no one knows who his mother is – and two younger siblings from a relationship between the father and a maid. No need to say that the maid has long been upgraded to the status of legitimate wife.
In addition to the tension that rises because of who is a legitimate child vs. Who is not, Kwang’s father has been wasting money like no other by spoiling his kids left and right, contracting debts, pawning his belongings, and investing in useless businesses. In the midst of all this mess appears a knight in shining armor – lakorns NEVER get really original. Phu, the former leader of a gang now turned construction mogul, falls for Kwang. Phu starts courting Kwang and helping her family. He gets close to Kwang’s father, who is always looking for investors or cold cash, and becomes a frequent sight in Kwang’s household.
Phu and Kwang develop feelings, and he could have easily helped her. If this wasn’t a lakorn it could have been perfect.
Let me pause here to clarify that Kwang is barely 18 and Phu is in his early 30s. Phu proposes to wait for a year before making things concrete and official. Before the year is even over, things get ugly. Posted in Tagged,. After watching Wanida for the xxxx time, I decided to finally write about it. This has to be one of my favorite lakorns. The music, acting and pace is perfect.
I mean how could this drama fail with Tik in it??! I am not a big fan of Aff, but this drama made me fall for her acting. I found her annoying in Jam Leuy Rak – sorry but not sorry.
Set in the 1950s, this drama is about the arranged marriage between Wanida (Nid), the daughter of a rich businessman and loan shark, and Major Prasak Mahasak (Yai). The latter is forced to enter the marriage with Nid to repay the debt of his younger brother although he is dating someone – Pisamai. When Nid moves in to live with Yai, she encounters difficulties after difficulties. Yai’s mother hates her with a passion, Yai himself neglects her and Pisamai is always there to stir trouble. I am a big fan of Kim, but since her days I haven’t enjoyed her lakorns as much. Maybe I am not a big fan of the Kim-Mark pair? I find them cute as a real life couple but their on screen chemistry just doesn’t cut it for me.
I am happy to see Kim paired with Boy in this lakorn! Kim’s character, Pim, is a famous actress known for her nang’rai roles. On screen, Pim is always about some good hair pulling and attacking other women who attempt to “steal” her man. In real life, Pim is strong and determined, but also kind-hearted and loving. That could come as a surprise for many, including Boy’s character, Natee. Natee is a police officer, who pays no attention whatsoever at daras (celebrities). He finds celebrities to be as fake as one can be.
So when he is sent on a secret mission that involves Pim, Natee is not too happy about it. He will have to protect Pim, who has been receiving death threats.
Let me tell you, those threats are no joke. Every time Pim is on the set of her lakorn, an incident happens, making the crew wonder if this lakorn is cursed. I would be worried too. From a real gun being used during a scene to a chandelier falling, it gets creepy. No worries though, Natee is here to save the day! So who is after Pim’s life? Pim is highly suspicious of the wife of Danai, an entertainment businessman.
Pim starts getting close to Danai despite him having a wife, which spurs jealousy. What the wife doesn’t know is that Pim only wants to get close to her hubby because she suspects that he might be involved in the murder of her sister. On the other hand, given Pim’s popularity, anyone who is interested in being a leading nang’rai is a potential suspect. Posted in Tagged,. I am so disappointed by this drama. It went down the drain so fast and nothing can save it at this point.
I have too many grievances. Please allow me to quickly rant!. Why is Somsupang still in this show?
She is manipulated from left to right – by the man she loves, her mother and her own stupidity. She is now in a wheelchair because her own mother inadvertently pushed her down a flight of stairs. Instead of admitting that her mother is at fault, Som lets the world, and most importantly Wee, point fingers at Chit. I guess it’s a convenient way to make Wee hate Chit. Som’s mother is up to no good. Well, if you have been following this roller coaster this is old news.
She is embroiled in a steamy romance with the old gangster who is after Chit/Wee’s house if I am not mistaken. I guess the gangster wants the land the house is on. Interesting detail: Som’s mother and the gangster are apparently a real life married couple! I still don’t like their characters They need to redeem themselves in future lakorns. I have to say that I love how Chit ruined Wee and Som’s wedding. She rolled in drunk, wearing a black dress and carrying a funeral wreath.
Do you think Chit would stop there?! She gave a loud speech about her being the mistress of Wee and sharing the same man with the new bride. Som had it coming.
Why would you insist on marrying a man with a mistress?! He didn’t respect you while you were dating!!! Did Som think a piece of paper would make a difference?! She is about to hold this piece of paper and cry for several nights.
